Planning a Wedding
How long does it take to plan a wedding? The short answer is "It depends!". Some couples do this in a couple of months and some in a couple of years! However, it seems that the bride has more tasks on her "Things to Do List" - from picking the right wedding gown to choosing wedding favors, and wedding accessories. These items are usually purchased three months before the wedding, when the guest list has been finalized. So, less than three months will probably not be enough time for the bride to get everything done in an unhurried fashion.
Sometimes the deciding factor in how long should the planning be depends on the venue - either the place for the wedding ceremony or the reception. Many couples decide to shorten or lenghten the time from engagement to the wedding date based on how early or how late they can reserve their chosen venue. The most common planning schedule is from six months to a year. Within this time frame, the bride will not be too hurried in getting everything that she needs to fulfill her dream of a "beautiful" wedding.
